Olympus offers a very affordable underwater digital camera and an inexpensive housing to fit it. Nessie - The Loch Ness Monster Legend

The Loch Ness Monster first made its "appearance" in 565 in St Columba's biography, but it was more new times that brought the legend to life. It has been 75 years since the first photographic "proof" of Nessie appeared. Since then, thousands of photos and stories have emerged.

Although there were several reports of sightings before then, the first photograph was taken by Hugh Gray in November 1933. Although grainy and misty, the photo shows something in the loch. There are many speculations as to what the photo is actual of.

People from all over the world wanted to get a discern of the creature, some considered to capture it. There have been numerous expeditions into the loch in search of evidence. In the 1960s, a ten year diagnosis was made. Sonar studies in 1968 found manifold large animate objects, but were unable to identify them. Constant hoaxes make it difficult to prove the existence or non-existence of Nessie. Many photographs have been altered to present a monster. One of the most notable is known as the "surgeon's photo", which presents a plesiosaur-like creature. (Plesiosaurs were long necked water dinosaurs believed to be extinct for several million years). This photo seemed to be legitimate evidence for almost 30 years, until revealed as a fake in 1994. Many other photos have been explained as birds, otters, deer, seals, and more.

The possibility of the Loch Ness Monster increased due to the new discovery of a coelacanth fish that was believed to be extinct hundreds of millions of years ago. The discovery of "Nessie's Lair", a large underwater cavern, has added to the possibility suggesting there could be a network of caves for such a beast to hide in.

You can resolve for yourself either you believe or not, but the legend continues to grow.

The camera is the image forming device. The electronic image sensors or a photographic film is the recording medium. Nowadays digital cameras are also ready which have electronic medium as the storing medium.

Picking the best camera brand is very hard, and is something that varies greatly. Some may say Canon, while others may say Kodak. It all depends on what the camera is being used for.

Technically, there is no best camera brand, and it indubitably just comes down to personel preference. Nonetheless, there are quite a few brands that indubitably do dominate in many ways. Overall, many would say that the Leica could be the best if it was smaller. Many citizen do not like it because it is not one you can fit in your pocket. Though, it is said to be a great film and digital camera nonetheless. Olympus is probably one of the best digital Slr, and if you are willing top pay big bucks for lenses, then this is your best bet.

One thing that should be considered intimately is what type camera you want as well. Some brands do not have good Slr cameras, while others may not have good ultra compact cameras. There are five categories, and before picking a specific brand you should definitely know which of these you will likely want. The categories consist of ultra compact (very small), compact (small), creative compact (a bit bigger than the compact cameras), Slr-like (larger), and the Slr (the largest). Some brands will not have good Slr cameras, so if you want a good Slr camera, some brands may not be an option for you. Generally, Sony caries ultra compact cameras, while Olympus is good known for Slr cameras. Picking a brand is not always something that man can help you with. A Muscular Dystrophy Association underwater 'Monopoly' game played in the Polar Bear Den of the Milwaukee County Zoo. Some participants were first time divers playing the popular board game by Parker Brothers in the Polar Bear pool. There are huge viewing ports for guests to watch the intense game played by teams of six to eight divers every 45 minutes. Fun was had by all watching divers trying to communicate while playing the game. All players pay an entry fee to play for some great competition and comradeship for a great cause. Valuable prizes worth hundreds of dollars were awarded to the individuals who brought in the most revenue and most players. The game was played the same as any 'Monopoly game with the person with the most wealth at the end of 45 minutes winning the game. During the 1992 and again in 1993 this event broke its own single day record for fund raising.

Nobody as a matter of fact wants, or needs the best of anything. It doesn't matter, either it's digital cameras, automobiles, homes, or jet airplanes. What we as a matter of fact want and expect, is value for our money. If I'm going to spend 0 for a camera, then I better get 0 worth of features and capability from that camera. If I spend 00 on a camera, then I better get 00 worth back as well. If you consequent a few easy rules, you'll see how easy it is to get the best camera your money can buy.

Acclaimed science fiction author Theodore Sturgeon was notable for a consolidate of adages known as Sturgeons Laws. Of course if the above seems like to much work for you slackers out there, here's my short list of great cameras that are all money well spent. In the under 0 category, the Canon PowerShot A570Is. It's a easy point and shoot with 4x zoom lens, image stabilization, and Canon reliability. For the portability minded ultra compact FaceBook crowd, you can't go wrong with the Canon PowerShot Sd1000 Digital Elph. Slightly less image capability then the A570Is, and slightly more expensive, but a very easy traveler. other popular compact of mine is the Olympus Stylus 790Sw. The only waterproof, shockproof, dust proof, and ice proof camera I know.
